Create a custom boot screen for your Sony Imaging Edge Webcam software
When working remote and joining online meetings the camera is one of the crucial things that make the conversation vivid.
For that reason I use my Sony ZV-1 as standalone camera and as my webcam. The only minor issue is the boot or initialisation screen.
The screen above is shown for more then 3 seconds before the actual footage of the camera is broadcasted to the participants of the meeting.
Create your own personal Sony initialisation image
The solution is as simple as replacing a file.
So, please follow these 4 steps below to create your personal boot screen:
- Locate the installation folder, in my case C:\Program Files\Sony\Imaging Edge Webcam
- Rename the picture called default.jpg to default-backup.jpg, this is the current boot image.
- Create or copy a new image with the size of 1024x576 to the folder and name it default.jpg
- Try out your new boot screen in a meeting:
I hope this gives you a professional and personal touch when joining online meetings.
